As a former diplomat with government in the USA, I have been to 173 countries and stayed at hotels on many islands and every continent on the planet except Antarctica. Marriott in Singapore Park Hyatt, Ritz Carleton, Bellagio, etc., in Shanghai Park Hyatt and Sandton Sand in Johannesburg, as a few examples. We are used to staying at hotels such as The Peninsula in Hong Kong Four Seasons (Orachard Park), Pan Pacific, Marina Sands, Fullerton Hotel, J.W. The building and facilities are very good, but the service doesn't come close to what we are used to in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and around the World. We initially liked this hotel because, despite the fact that we are treated better at hotels in downtown Ottawa (Great Service at most), we like the lake views and visiting the Casino. We like to patronize the Casino and contribute to the approximately $250 million dollars the government, etc., gets from this place yearly.
